Timothy Howley, 71, of Youngstown passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday February 6, 2026, with hospice care at the Aventura at Assumption Village in North Lima, with his family at his side.
He was born on February 23, 1954, in Youngstown, the son of the late Edward W. and Helen Theresa Kazik Howley and was a lifelong area resident.
He attended St. Patrick Elementary School in Youngstown and went on to graduate from Cardinal Mooney High School class of 1972.
For the past 29 years he was employed by the Diocese of Youngstown as a custodian at St. Edwards Church.
A man of few words, he had a very generous heart and was always there for his family and friends.
In his spare time, Tim enjoyed cooking, gardening, casino games and the fishing trips he took with his friends.
Tim will be greatly missed by his brother Daniel (Diana) Howley of Poland, his sister Loretta Moore of Canfield, his long-time companion Susan Green and nieces Gail (Jim) Guerrier and Kelly Howley both of Austintown and his nephew Jason Lipinski of Columbus.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Norma Jean Gaul and three nephews, David, Mark and James, Jr. and his brother-in-law Richard Moore.
The family has requested material donations can be made to St. Edwards Food Pantry in memory of Tim.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday February 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward Church 240 Tod Lane Youngstown, Ohio 44504.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
